Hand-made Lacquer process
Lacquer product and its art work are the combined collective work of artists, craftsmen and skilled workers into this hand-made product .
There are 4 stages and up to 23 steps required for lacquer process.
Stage 1: Construction of the body
Stage 2: Art Decoration work
Stage 3: Painting process
Stage 4: The shining technique
STAGE 1 : CONSTRUCTION OF THE BODY
There are 10 steps to require in the first stage for filling up dents on surface of product , then sanding it 5-6 times to ensure that the surface is smooth and no trace is remained.
STAGE 2 : ART DECORATIVE WORK
Depending on different design required eggshell inlay, silver leaf or Art & Decorative on the product, there are up to 07 steps will be processed in this second stage.
STAGE 3 : PAINTING PROCESS
There are 2 coats of color paint or stain layer and 3 coats of high gloss layer to be painted on the product to enhance the Art & Decorative work for giving its stunning pattern under the gloss layer.
STAGE 4: THE SHINING TECHNIQUE
Polished compound is applied on the surface of product in stage 4 giving the full characteristic of lacquer finishing.
